Description
Nexus Family Healing in East Bethel, MN is looking to add to a dynamic Executive Director at our youth and teen psychiatric residential treatment facility!
We provide individualized, trauma-informed psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF) services for all-gender youth ages 10-19 with a higher level of mental and behavioral health needs. Youth experience a safe environment that provides on-campus education, individualized programming, therapy and recreational opportunities. Our East Bethel campus is staffed 24/7, with on-site nursing, therapists and other mental health professionals.

Schedule/Pay:
  • Full-time, exempt opportunity

Position Summary: Provides agency leadership and ensures the financial sustainability and operational efficiency of all services, programs and departments as demonstrated by service and program growth and a healthy agency culture. Responsible for implementing the strategic plan based on organization and agency vision and mission and creating effective service outcomes by creating a trauma-informed, values-driven culture that supports youth-guided and familydriven care. Ensures the development and retention of employees, and maintaining applicable policies and standards of the organization, as well as external regulating bodies.
Primary responsibilities:
Leadership & Culture
  • Lead and develop agency staff, fostering a positive, high-performing, and collaborative culture.
  • Set performance expectations, provide coaching and feedback, and support employee growth and engagement.
  • Model and promote Nexus ICARE values in all interactions and initiatives.

Agency Operations
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality services for youth and families.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and priorities in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with corporate partners and fellow Executive Directors to drive operational excellence and consistency across agencies.

Community, Board & Fundraising Engagement
  • Serve as a visible ambassador for the agency through community relations, advocacy, and public engagement.
  • Partner with the Board of Directors or advisory committee to support governance, communication, and member recruitment.
  • Support fundraising efforts, grant development, and community partnerships to expand resources and services.
  • Build and maintain strong referral relationships to promote service growth and client satisfaction.

Strategic Growth & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure financial sustainability through effective budget management, census goals, and revenue growth.
  • Drive program innovation, service expansion, and adoption of evidence-based practices.
  • Lead strategic planning, quality improvement, risk management, and staff development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and contractual requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required Education and Licensure:
  • Master's degree in a clinical field required with licensing preferred; a combination of business degree with direct clinical experience will be considered.
  • 10+ years of clinical experience with children, youth or families, and specific experience with agency services and programs required.
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience required.
  • Working knowledge and experience overseeing and being responsible for operations and financial oversight required.
  • Valid driver's license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements.
  • Must successfully pass a DHS background check.
  • Must have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs and challenges.
  • Must be open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, traditions, and values.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • 7+ years' experience working a senior leader in a clinical related field; creating goals, objectives and strategic direction surrounding clinical service delivery and programming.
