The Role: Production Technician II

As a Production Technician II, you will perform skilled construction, assembly, and installation work across data center environments. This role exists to ensure cabinets, containment systems, and supporting infrastructure are built and installed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

You will work in active data center environments and support both new construction and ongoing operational improvements. You will also mentor junior technicians and help maintain quality and safety standards across the team.

What You’ll Do
  • Construct and install data center cabinets, containment systems, and related infrastructure.

  • Support T-SCIF and RPP buildouts, including layout, alignment, and installation.

  • Fabricate and install heat containment panels, ceiling tiles, and grid systems.

  • Perform basic plumbing tasks, including fitting assembly, hose installation, and leak testing.

  • Prepare job sites, transport materials, and operate tools and equipment such as lifts and power tools.

  • Install ladder racks, cage systems, and perimeter containment structures.

  • Perform quality checks on completed work and ensure adherence to standards.

  • Identify and correct containment or configuration issues within data center environments.

  • Safely transport populated cabinets using proper equipment and procedures.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics.

  • Maintain tools, materials, and inventory required for production work.

  • Interface with customers when supporting ticketed work or installations.

  • Mentor Technician I team members and support skill development.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Complete required LMS training and follow safety protocols.

What We’re Looking For
  • You demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skill.

  • You work safely in active construction and live data environments.

  • You take ownership of your work and maintain high quality standards.

  • You solve problems independently and make sound decisions.

  • You communicate clearly with team members and customers.

  • You support team success and mentor less experienced technicians.

  • You remain reliable under pressure and meet deadlines.

What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 2+ years of experience in production, facilities, mechanical maintenance, or related field.

  • Experience using powered and non-powered hand tools.

  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical schematics.

  • Ability to perform accurate measurements and layout work.

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and installation practices.

  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred:

  • Experience in data center or mission-critical environments.

  • Experience with containment systems, cabinet installation, or cage systems.

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.

  • Experience operating forklifts, boom lifts, or similar equipment.

  • Trade-related certifications.
