Join our hospitality team and help maintain the beauty, quality, and craftsmanship of our property. As a Seasonal Temporary Tile Setter, you play an important role in repairing, restoring, and maintaining tile and grout surfaces throughout the hotel and surrounding areas, ensuring our facilities remain polished, safe, and visually exceptional for every guest.

Position Summary:

The Seasonal Temporary Tile Setter is responsible for the repair, replacement, and maintenance of tile and grout surfaces throughout the property. This role supports the overall appearance and upkeep of the hotel by restoring damaged surfaces, ensuring water-resistant finishes, and maintaining high-quality craftsmanship standards.

This position is ideal for someone with strong technical tile experience who takes pride in precision work, enjoys hands-on projects, and is comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments within a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Remove and replace damaged tile, grout, and caulking in guest areas, back-of-house spaces, and exterior locations
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing substrates prior to installation
  • Cut, shape, and install tile using wet saws, grinders, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and alignment
  • Mix and apply mortar, adhesives, grout, and sealants according to specifications
  • Repair and restore tile surfaces while carefully matching existing materials and finishes
  • Remove old materials without damaging surrounding surfaces or structures
  • Clean finished areas, remove excess materials, and ensure proper curing of grout and sealants
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering and Facilities teams to complete assigned projects
  • Perform work in guest-facing and outdoor areas while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude
  • Complete additional maintenance and repair tasks assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience as a tile setter, installer, or maintenance technician
  • Strong technical knowledge of tile installation, grout work, and surface repair techniques
  • Ability to read measurements, layouts, and basic blueprints or specifications
  • Skilled in use of tile-setting tools including wet saws, trowels, grinders, and grout floats
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments
  • Physically able to lift, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules based on project needs
