Regional Director (Silicon Valley)

Job Summary

As aRegional Director, your responsibilities will include:

Strategic Business Development

  • Sequentially growing gross margin, revenue and profits within the region and all practice groups, consistent with the annual budget.
  • Ensuring Robert Half operational procedures are implemented and correctly executed in each division, focusing on brand separation.
  • Retaining and motivating key personnel, utilizing Robert Half's ongoing training processes.
  • Focusing on building infrastructure and developing high-potential leaders.
  • Ensuring compliance with Robert Half's expense control processes and guidelines.
  • Communicating Robert Half's corporate vision and values. Enforcing the highest standards for operating excellence and ethics.
  • Collaborating with the District Director to administer public relations, marketing and advertising programs in the region.
  • Collaborating with the applicable Regional Director in your region to ensure a coordinated effort in the operation of the branch offices and a dedicated effort to cross promote other practice groups.
  • Coordinating special projects assigned by the District Director.

Hiring, coaching, mentoring and developing recruiting and support staff

  • Hiring, training and mentoring Branch Directors. Recommending staffing changes to the District Director.
  • Providing strategic action plans for Branch Directors and Practice Directors.
  • Developing and managing succession plans for Branch Directors and Practice Directors.
  • Interfacing with the District Director and appropriate Executive Directors regarding training issues, new practice groups, and regional and practice initiatives.
  • Personally developing staff through desk-side training, client visits, candidate interviews and activity reports.
  • Conducting activity reports and providing work plans for all Practice Manager and/or Practice Directors as appropriate.
  • Personally developing client and candidate relationships with recruiting staff.
  • Promote and support an inclusive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years management or equivalent experience required.
  • 2+ years staffing professional experience required.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets.
  • Demonstrated success in business generation, leading and driving business development
  • Excellent communication, presentation and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, databases and other systems.
  • Must be proactive, able to teach, willing to suggest process improvements and able to interact with senior management.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferred

Salary: The typical salary range for this position is $98,000to $130,000. The salary is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a bonus based upon achievement of performance objectives.
