Job description

Overview:

The Alterations Sewers reports to a/the Production Supervisor. The Alterations Sewer is responsible for sewing garments in accordance with Kleinfeld Bridal Sewing Standards

roles and responsibility:

The duties of the Alterations Sewer include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide courteous service and perform tasks in accordance with Kleinfeld Bridal Standards
  • Be courteous and pleasant with coworkers and supervisors
  • Perform the work assigned by the Alterations Production Supervisor
  • Meet productivity standards
  • Communicate supply needs to the Alterations Production Supervisor
  • Ensure that the alterations office, workrooms and fitting areas are kept organized, clean and safe for all employees and customers
  • Communicate machine or equipment repair needs to the Alterations Production Supervisor

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education:

  • Technical or Design degree, or equivalent 5 years work experience

Communication:

  • Able to communicate and read instructions

Leadership:

  • Able to demonstrate problem resolution skills
  • Able to work effectively with all functions across the company, with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with staff at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrates ability to work flex style and work with a variety of groups including trades, creative, executives and hourly work force.
  • Demonstrate the highest level of ethics and integrity

Organizational Skills:

  • Ability to keep workroom and space clean and organized

Required Skills:
