Job Title: District Office Manager

The District Office Manager will provide regional financial oversite and operational support to multiple locals (or any other local offices identified by the Executive Secretary Treasure & Chief CEO or the Chief Operations Officer – Council Operations) within the Western region of Southern Regional Council of Carpenters. This role involves providing financial reports to both local offices and the regional council, managing tax reporting and payment data, and preparing for annual audits. The position requires travel to various local offices within the region.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping and Financial Management:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records for each local office within the region.
    • Prepare and provide financial reports as requested by local offices and the regional council.
    • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Tax Reporting and Payments:
    • Manage all tax reporting and payment data for each local office.
    • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and payment of taxes.
  • Audit Preparation:
    • Prepare annual audits by organizing and maintaining all necessary financial records.
    • Provide auditors with any required data and documentation.
  • Travel:
    • Periodic travel to various local offices within the region to perform on-site bookkeeping and financial management tasks.
    • Attend regional meetings and training sessions as required.

HR Requirements:

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration preferred, or related field.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role.
    • Experience with tax reporting and audit preparation is highly desirable.
