VP Risk & Underwriting Manager - Payments
About the Role
Are you passionate about payments, risk, and compliance? We're looking for a Payments Risk & Compliance Manager to help strengthen and grow a fast-paced payments business. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in ACH, consumer cards, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance who enjoys partnering across teams to build scalable, compliant payment programs.
You'll play a key role in developing governance frameworks, managing regulatory initiatives, supporting audits, and ensuring payment operations remain compliant with evolving industry rules and regulations.
What You'll Do
Lead governance, risk, and compliance initiatives for ACH and card payment programs.
Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and risk frameworks.
Monitor regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance with NACHA, card network, and consumer protection requirements.
Coordinate audits, examinations, risk assessments, and remediation efforts.
Partner with legal, operations, and business teams on payment-related regulatory matters.
Manage payment-related complaints, legal requests, and reporting.
Prepare governance committee and executive reporting.
Serve as a cross-functional advisor on payments compliance and risk.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of experience in payments, banking, risk, or compliance.
Strong knowledge of ACH, card payments, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance.
Experience with NACHA rules, Visa/Mastercard regulations, UDAAP, and banking operations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
AAP certification is a plus.
