Role Summary:
The Relationship Manager serves as the primary, regionally aligned point of contact for assigned Firms, helping them navigate M Financial Group's offerings, connect with the right internal resources, and receive a consistent, high-touch service experience. The Relationship Manager also leads and coordinates the onboarding of new Member Firms, Affiliate Firms, Marketers, and Firm personnel, ensuring a seamless transition into the M community and its service platforms.
The Relationship Manager builds trusted relationships with Firms, understands operational and growth needs, advocates for Firm interests across strategic and tactical issues, and coordinates cross-functionally across all internal teams. The role owns follow-through by tracking inquiries, monitoring commitments, managing onboarding and transition initiatives, escalating obstacles when appropriate, and helping ensure Firm expectations are met.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager and regionally aligned point of contact for assigned Firms.

  • Build trusted relationships by understanding Firm goals, operational needs, and growth opportunities.

  • Partner cross-functionally across business units to advocate for Firm interests, support Firm success, and deliver a seamless service experience.

  • Lead and coordinate transitions for Member Firms, Affiliate Firms, Marketers, and firm personnel-including new firm/individual onboarding, departures, ownership changes, and organizational updates.

  • Connect Firms with appropriate M resources, solutions, subject matter experts, and best practices.

  • Monitor, track, and resolve Firm inquiries, ensuring timely follow-through, accountability, and communication.

  • Facilitate adoption of M programs, service platforms, and strategic initiatives.

  • Identify and escalate service gaps and improvement opportunities while sharing Firm feedback, trends, and insights with internal stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of Firm interactions, activities, commitments, and projects within Salesforce and other tracking systems.

  • Support collaboration, networking, and knowledge sharing across the Firm community.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and overall Firm experience.

  • Stay informed on M resources, industry trends, and business practices to provide effective guidance and support.

  • Own the end-to-end relationship lifecycle, ensuring Firms receive a consistent, proactive, and high-touch experience throughout their engagement with M.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; business, marketing, financial services, operations, or related field preferred.

  • Ideally seven years or more of relevant experience managing complex stakeholder relationships, preferably in financial services, insurance, broker-dealer/RIA, or wealth management.

  • Knowledge of relationship and project management principles and the ability to coordinate complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using CRM or tracking systems; Salesforce experience preferred.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including prompt responses, clear documentation, and professional follow-up.

  • Strong organizational, follow-through, time management, and prioritization skills with the ability to adjust quickly in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to own outcomes, track commitments, resolve issues, and escalate appropriately when barriers arise.

  • Consultative mindset with the ability to think critically and understand Firm needs, connect resources, share best practices, and support adoption of M solutions and service platforms.

  • Team player with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude and the ability to navigate ambiguity, change, and competing priorities.

  • Proven ability to build rapport and collaborative relationships with external stakeholders, internal colleagues, and cross-functional leaders.

  • Ability to influence without direct authority and coordinate outcomes across multiple stakeholders and business units.

Job Conditions & Environment:
  • This position is based on-site at our offices in Uptown at the Quad in Dallas, TX with the flexibility to work one day per week remotely.

  • Normal office environment/desk assignment.

  • Travel approximately 15-20% of the time.

  • Regularly operates a computer and other standard office equipment to perform essential job functions, such as data entry, document preparation, and electronic communication.
