  • Hourly starting wage: $34.00/h (weekly pay)

Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:
  • Follow established healthcare and Department standard precautions and procedures in the performance of all duties and responsibilities to ensure a safe work environment for everyone.
  • Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
  • Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements and specific post instructions.
  • Mandatory qualification and training on handguns and other necessary equipment and general safety procedures.
  • Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
  • This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
  • You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an armed Security Officer.
  • Meet Prosegur attendance and punctuality requirements to be on your assigned post on time to ensure proper coverage and quality services to patients, visitors and employees.

Qualifications:
  • CT Guard License
  • CT State Licensed Carry Permit (Class 1 or Higher)- Unrestricted
  • Mandatory Firearm Qualification Screening
  • 4+ Years Prior Law Enforcement, Military, Armed Security Officer or Executive Protection Experience Required
  • 22+ years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required (Higher Education also Accepted)
  • Expectations for professional attire, personal hygiene, and appropriate conduct while on duty
  • Strong Verbal and Written communication skills
  • Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screening, background investigation
  • Excellent communication skills and good judgment
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours
  • Ability to remain calm in a stressful situation
  • Must commit to all mandatory company trainings.

Physical Requirements:This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:
  • Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1-2 miles per shift)
  • Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
