Job Description

In this position you must think 'out of the box' as you will lead and contribute to the DevOps team to maintain and build infrastructure and servers operating on AWS while testing deployment strategies for engineering.  You will write deployment scripts, debugging applications, be involved with evaluating new technologies and must be comfortable with at least  two of the following; Ruby, BASH, groovy or Python.

You will be responsible for supporting application servers and databases, storage management, and you must be able work with others to make software development as smooth as possible.  You need experience with supporting application servers and databases, storage management and performance optimization, load-based and time-based instances and experience with Cloud/AWS, Tomcat, MYSQL, Cassandra, ActiveMQ etc.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelors

4+ years experience

Experience in maintaining API strategies, standards and best practices, proficient in various protocols, and experience with third party APIs and connect with outside enterprise databases

A Plus ...

  • Any experienced in digital eyewear devices running Android SDK, computer vision, Augmented Reality, OpenCV, IoT and sensors, and current trends in wearable technologies, machine learning or various embedded systems and hardware technologies like Bluetooth and Wifi are all MAJOR pluses!!
  • Previous experience working with distributed teams - directly interacting with the development teams.
  • Experience with Puppet, Chef or Docker.
  • Experience with network and server security
