Job description

The Marketing Specialist - Content is responsible for developing and executing content that position our brands as trusted authorities in freight, transportation, and supply chain solutions. They create compelling, high-quality content that strengthens brand awareness, builds customer trust, and supports business growth across digital and traditional channels. They translate complex logistics topics into engaging content formats including blogs, case studies, newsletters, thought leadership articles, videos, and market insights. Working closely with subject matter experts, customers, sales teams, designers, and company leadership, they drive content strategy while maintaining a consistent and credible brand voice. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role requiring strong storytelling, editorial judgment, and project management skills. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, edit, and publish high-quality content across multiple formats, including blogs, case studies, newsletters, market insights, executive thought leadership, and other marketing assets.
  • Create compelling content that positions Forward and Omni Logistics as industry leaders within key transportation, freight, and logistics verticals.
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts, business leaders, and customers to gather information and develop meaningful, credible content.
  • Identify and develop customer success stories and case studies that highlight business outcomes and strengthen brand credibility.
  • Produce and coordinate video content initiatives, including concept development, scripting, production support, and distribution.
  • Develop newsletters and email content that informs audiences, increases engagement, and supports subscriber growth.
  • Translate industry trends, market developments, customer challenges, and business data into informative and actionable content.
  • Own and manage the editorial calendar, ensuring content priorities, deadlines, and publishing schedules are effectively maintained.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, design, and leadership teams to align content initiatives with organizational goals and campaign strategies.
  • Optimize content for search engine visibility, discoverability, and user engagement using SEO best practices.
  • Monitor content performance and key metrics, providing recommendations to improve effectiveness and audience engagement.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice, messaging, quality standards, and editorial guidelines across all content channels.
  • Support content distribution across websites, social media platforms, email campaigns, and other digital marketing channels.
  • Research emerging trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance content strategy and execution.
  • All other duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or a related field from an accredited college or university required.
  • Certification/Licensure: None required. Relevant certifications in content marketing, SEO, digital marketing, or related disciplines are preferred.
  • Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience in content marketing, content creation, copywriting, journalism, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated portfolio showcasing strong writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities across multiple content formats.
  • Proven success developing content strategies that increase brand awareness, audience engagement, and organizational authority.
  • Strong ability to translate complex or technical concepts into clear, compelling, and accessible content.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, and content workflows with strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles, content optimization techniques, and content performance measurement.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, sales teams, customers, executives, and creative partners.
  • Experience with content management systems, marketing automation platforms, analytics tools, and social media publishing platforms preferred.
  • Experience in logistics, freight, transportation, supply chain, manufacturing, or other B2B industries preferred.
  • Video production, scripting, editing, and multimedia content development experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated discretion and confidentiality in handling and protecting sensitive information.
  • Technical: Proficient with common office technologies, including Windows PCs, Microsoft O365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and web conferencing (Teams, Zoom, Webex, etc.)
  • Environment: Comfort commuting to/from and working in a 100% on-site setting (listed in this posting), with travel for related meetings/events.
