Director of Campus Operations

Location: Texas | Travel: Approximately 70%

The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking a Director of Campus Operations to serve as a strategic extension of the Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) of Ground Campuses & Admissions. This high-impact role partners closely with Campus Presidents to strengthen leadership, improve campus performance, and ensure key organizational priorities are executed consistently across CHCPs ground campuses.

This is an opportunity for a results-driven leader who can influence without direct authority, coach senior leaders, lead enterprise initiatives, and create lasting operational improvements.

What You'll Do Lead Strategic Initiatives
  • Lead enterprise-wide initiatives from planning and implementation through adoption and long-term sustainability.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, accountability measures, and success criteria.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, remove barriers, manage risks, and keep senior leadership informed of progress.
  • Support major organizational initiatives, including transitions, acquisitions, and new campus openings.
Drive Campus Performance
  • Partner with Campus Presidents to improve operational execution, consistency, and overall campus performance.
  • Analyze KPIs and campus data to identify trends, root causes, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and monitor action plans with clear owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Address performance gaps, recommend solutions, and escalate unresolved concerns when necessary.
  • Develop executive dashboards and use data to recommend operational improvements.
  • Identify and share best practices across campuses.
Develop Future-Focused Leaders

One of the most important aspects of this role is developing Campus Presidents into confident, proactive, and accountable leaders.

You will:

  • Coach Campus Presidents in critical thinking, decision-making, executive judgment, and problem-solving.
  • Help leaders anticipate challenges before they impact campus performance.
  • Support Campus Presidents in building strong, engaged, and accountable leadership teams.
  • Partner with the SEVP, Human Resources, and Organizational Development on onboarding, succession planning, and leadership development.
Collaborate Across the Organization

Work closely with leaders across:

You'll help resolve cross-functional challenges, present recommendations to senior leadership, and use business dataincluding enrollment, staffing, productivity, and budget performanceto support informed decisions.

What We're Looking For Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Higher Education, Organizational Leadership, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
Experience
  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in higher education, multi-campus operations, organizational leadership, or a comparable complex environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise initiatives and organizational change.
  • Experience coaching senior leaders and improving operational performance.
  • Strong ability to influence and drive results without direct authority.
  • Experience analyzing business results and using data to make strategic decisions.
Technology
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with dashboards/business intelligence tools, project-management platforms, and HR or operational systems preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data and create executive-level reports and presentations.
  • Comfortable learning new technology and systems quickly.
