What is Executive Neurotechnology?

Executive Neurotechnology refers to a specialized field that merges neuroscience, technology, and executive leadership. Professionals in this area focus on the application of neurotechnology—such as brain-computer interfaces, neural monitoring, and cognitive enhancement tools—in corporate or leadership contexts. Their work may involve developing strategies for integrating neurotechnologies into business operations, improving executive performance, or overseeing research and development in neurotech companies. These specialists often have expertise in both neuroscience and business management, enabling them to bridge the gap between scientific innovation and organizational strategy.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Executive in Neurotechnology, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Executive in Neurotechnology, you need a deep understanding of neuroscience, biomedical engineering, and business strategy, often supported by advanced degrees and industry experience. Familiarity with neuroimaging tools, neural interfaces, regulatory compliance, and project management systems is typically required. Exceptional leadership, cross-disciplinary communication, and innovation-driven decision-making are crucial soft skills for success in this role. These competencies are essential to drive organizational growth, foster groundbreaking research, and ensure effective translation of neurotechnology advances into commercial and clinical applications.

How does an Executive in Neurotechnology typically collaborate with research and development teams to drive innovation?

Executives in Neurotechnology play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between cutting-edge neuroscience research and practical product development. They frequently work alongside R&D teams to set strategic priorities, allocate resources, and ensure that projects align with both scientific advancements and business objectives. Regular collaboration involves reviewing project milestones, facilitating communication between scientists and stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for partnership or technology transfer. This cross-functional teamwork is essential for translating novel neurotechnological concepts into market-ready solutions.

Job description

Ampa is a pioneering neurotechnology startup developing brain stimulation technology to help eradicate depression. We will improve millions of lives by making this transformative treatment universally accessible. Joining us means you'll be part of a rapidly growing startup with significant equity opportunities and a major impact on our future.
What to Expect:
Working at Ampa is a rare chance to help transform global mental health and save millions of lives - a level of impact that demands deep commitment. Success here requires resilience, adaptability, and the discipline to put in long hours. If you thrive in a high-intensity, fast-changing environment and want your work to truly matter, you may do the best work of your life here.
Role Overview:
We're looking for a relentless, resourceful, and mission-aligned Sales Executive (Hunter) to help us scale access to our breakthrough neuromodulation platform. You'll be among the first boots-on-the-ground revenue hires, responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing new provider accounts (psychiatrists, clinics, hospital systems) with speed and precision.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage chaos, loves building from zero, and knows how to move fast without cutting corners.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the top of the funnel: prospect, outreach, qualify, and build a high-value pipeline
  • Close net new business across independent practices, multi-site clinics, and regional health systems
  • Educate prospects on the clinical, operational, and financial value of Ampa's neuromodulation technology
  • Strategically navigate multiple stakeholders and buying processes (clinical, administrative, financial)
  • Hit and exceed aggressive monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Clinical Ops, and Product to surface insights and drive constant iteration
  • Represent Ampa with integrity, credibility, and urgency-our mission is too important for anything less

Who You Are:
  • 3-7+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience, ideally in healthcare, med device, or digital health
  • Proven track record as a top performer in an outbound/hunter role-this is not an account manager seat
  • Experience selling to private practice clinicians, clinical directors, or healthcare executives
  • Self-starter mentality: you don't wait to be told what to do-you build, test, learn, and close
  • High empathy, low ego: you care deeply about the customer and the mission
  • Grit, speed, and precision: you hit your number and do it the right way
  • Bonus: familiarity with neuromodulation, behavioral health, or early-stage startups

What We're Looking For:
  • Mission Obsession: You're passionate about eradicating depression.
  • Drive: Highly motivated, open to feedback, and able to learn new skills as needed.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving startup.

Why Join Ampa?
  • Real mission. Depression is one of the biggest global health challenges of our time. We're doing something about it.
  • High-growth environment. You'll have ownership, autonomy, and a clear path for success.
  • Category-defining technology grounded in clinical science and scalable engineering
  • A seat at the table to shape sales strategy, GTM, and customer experience from the ground up
  • Competitive comp + equity. You'll be rewarded for your impact in a high-growth company with serious momentum.

Logistics:
  • Work Mode: In-person, Hybrid, or Remote
  • Locations: Bay Area or Remote
  • Compensation: $150-190K, plus strong commission + equity
  • Employment: Permanent
