Senior Acquisition Program Manager MQ-9

Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, OH
Clearance Required: TS/SCI
Position Type: Full-Time
Travel: Up to 25%

Position Overview

Sumaria Systems is seeking a Senior Acquisition Program Manager with extensive Weapons Systems acquisition experience to support a high-visibility Air Force program at Wright-Patterson AFB. The successful candidate will provide senior-level leadership and acquisition expertise across the full lifecycle of advanced weapons programs, including development, production, fielding, modernization, and sustainment activities supporting Air Force operational requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide acquisition management and program integration support for Air Force weapons system programs throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
  • Develop acquisition strategies, program plans, schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation approaches.
  • Monitor and assess cost, schedule, and performance metrics and provide recommendations to Government leadership.
  • Support development of SOWs, PWSs, CDRLs, acquisition packages, and contract documentation.
  • Coordinate with contracting, engineering, logistics, test, financial management, and sustainment organizations.
  • Support milestone reviews, acquisition decision events, executive briefings, and senior leadership presentations.
  • Provide budget planning, execution support, and program status reporting.
  • Identify programmatic issues and develop recommended solutions for Government consideration.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, briefing materials, and decision-support products for senior leaders.
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Master’s degree and 12+ years of experience, Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of experience, or equivalent directly related DoD experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of DoD acquisition program management experience.
  • Experience supporting ACAT programs or Major Defense Acquisition Programs (MDAPs).
  • Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and DoD acquisition regulations.
  • Experience managing cost, schedule, performance, and risk.
Mandatory Weapons Systems Experience

Candidates must possess direct experience supporting the acquisition, development, modernization, production, integration, or sustainment of weapons system
