Health Info Coder II 3387638 * Hourly pay: $52.79/hr * Worksite: Leading medical institution (Los Angeles, CA 90024 - Hybrid) * W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL * 40 hours/week, 2 Month Assignment (With possibility of extension) A leading medical institution is seeking a Health Info Coder with at least two years of experience in medical coding, billing, and abstracting. Health Info Coder Responsibilities: * Charge Capture. * Analysis and Evaluation of Claims. * EHR/RX Validation. * Governance and Compliance. * Denials. * Maintain professional standards following the AHIMA/AAPC professional code of ethics. * Perform transactional reviews in compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g., Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Health Info Coder Qualifications: * 2+ years of experience in medical coding, billing, and abstracting * One of the following certifications: CCS, CPC, CHONC * Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy * Familiarity with coding guidelines and regulations (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) * Practical knowledge of physician clinic-based revenue cycle * Practical knowledge of professional series coding and billing in a multi-specialty environment * Understanding documentation rules and the ability to read medical records for validation and coding * Practical knowledge of government and other payer coding, billing and collection rules and regulations.
