An executive manager works to establish goals and a vision within a company. In this career, you work throughout the entire organization or business and develop policies, procedures, and budgets. You work closely with each department’s chief or executive and ensure the company is on a path to success. As an executive manager, you stand as the chief of any particular department. You can be recognized as the CEO or Chief Executive Officer, which works as an overarching executive manager. Other executive manager positions are the Chief Operating Officers, or COOs, and Chief Financial Officers, or CFOs. Qualifications for an executive manager position include years of experience in your field of expertise and strong leadership abilities. Executive managers typically have degrees, such as a bachelor’s or master’s in their respective field.

Job description

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on, people-first SMB Account Executive Manager to lead and scale our SMB sales team. In this role, you'll be responsible for hiring, coaching, and developing a team of Account Executives who drive growth and adoption across our SMB customer base.

As the SMB AE Manager, you'll own your team's number, build the systems and rituals that make reps successful, and act as a force multiplier for a high-performing and deeply customer-driven organization. You'll balance day-to-day coaching with the strategic work of building a repeatable, scalable sales motion. This is a full-time, hybrid role available in select cities.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of SMB Account Executives, owning their ramp, performance, and career growth
  • Own and forecast your team's pipeline and revenue targets, holding the team accountable to consistent execution
  • Hire and onboard top sales talent as the team scales - raise the bar with every hire
  • Run high-quality coaching: deal reviews, call coaching, pipeline inspection, and 1:1s that drive measurable improvement
  • Build and refine the SMB sales playbook - codify what works and scale it across the team
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to surface customer feedback and influence the roadmap
  • Help shape a new and fast-scaling business motion - bring ideas, test quickly, and iterate

What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years of sales management experience, leading a team of quota-carrying AEs, ideally in SaaS
  • A track record of full-cycle closing success before moving into management
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, coach, and develop AEs to consistently hit and exceed targets
  • Strong command of pipeline management, forecasting, and sales analytics
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a genuine customer-first mindset
  • A founder mentality - comfortable operating in ambiguity and building process where little exists
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and modern sales technologies
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for onsite office visits
