What is executive landscaping?

Executive landscaping refers to high-end landscaping services tailored for commercial properties, luxury residences, or corporate campuses. These services often include landscape design, installation, and ongoing maintenance, all executed to a premium standard. An executive landscaper focuses on delivering aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces that enhance property value and create a positive impression. They may also integrate sustainable practices, advanced irrigation systems, and customized plant selections to meet the unique needs of each client.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an executive landscaper, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Executive Landscaper, you need expertise in landscape design, horticulture, project management, and often a degree in landscape architecture or related certifications. Familiarity with design software like AutoCAD, project management tools, and knowledge of irrigation and landscaping equipment is typically required. Strong leadership, client communication, and problem-solving skills help you manage teams and maintain client satisfaction. These abilities ensure the successful delivery of high-quality landscaping projects on time and within budget, enhancing both aesthetics and client relationships.

What are some common challenges executive landscaping professionals face when managing large-scale projects?

Executive Landscaping professionals often encounter challenges such as coordinating multiple teams, adhering to strict project timelines, and managing client expectations. They must balance creative design with practical considerations like budgeting, environmental regulations, and site logistics. Effective communication and adaptability are essential for overcoming unexpected issues, such as weather delays or supply shortages, while ensuring the project stays on track and meets the client’s vision.

About Borland Groover

Borland Groover is one of the largest and most established gastroenterology and digestive health platforms in the United States. Founded in 1947 and headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, the physician-led organization has built a leading regional presence, serving more than 150,000 patients annually across a network of 18 locations.

The organization delivers a fully integrated model of care spanning physician services, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging, infusion therapy, pathology, and clinical research. With approximately 90 physicians and over 900 team members, Borland Groover has developed a strong reputation for clinical excellence, innovation, and high-quality patient outcomes. The practice performs more than 50,000 colonoscopies annually and maintains strong referral relationships across Florida.

With nearly eight decades of growth and a 2025 revenue base of approximately $283M, Borland Groover is well positioned for continued expansion, supported by favorable demographic trends and the ongoing shift toward outpatient care.

The Opportunity

This is a compelling opportunity to lead a premier, physician-led specialty platform at a pivotal moment of continued momentum and transformation. The Chief Executive Officer will partner closely with the Board of Directors and physician leadership to define and execute the organization's long-term vision.

The CEO will be responsible for strengthening alignment across stakeholders, enhancing organizational infrastructure, and driving sustainable growth. This leader will play a critical role in advancing strategic planning, improving operational performance, and identifying new opportunities for geographic expansion and service line development.

Success in this role will require the ability to build trust with physicians and key stakeholders, foster a culture of accountability and collaboration, and lead with transparency and credibility in a complex, high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the organization's strategic vision, growth agenda, and operating priorities
  • Partner with the Board and physician leadership to strengthen governance, alignment, and decision-making
  • Drive operational excellence, including performance improvement, revenue cycle optimization, and scalability initiatives
  • Establish and track clear enterprise-wide performance metrics and accountability frameworks
  • Lead strategic growth initiatives, including geographic expansion, physician recruitment, and ancillary service development
  • Build and develop a high-performing executive leadership team and broader organization
  • Maintain a strong culture centered on clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and employee engagement
  • Strengthen relationships with payors, partners, and external stakeholders
  • Oversee financial performance, capital allocation, and long-term value creation

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be an accomplished healthcare executive with a demonstrated track record of leading complex, multi-site provider organizations through periods of growth and transformation.

Key qualifications include:
  • Significant executive leadership experience, ideally including prior CEO experience
  • Experience within physician practice management, ambulatory surgery centers, or multi-site healthcare services organizations strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare provider landscape, including payor dynamics, operations, and clinical delivery models
  • Proven ability to scale organizations, drive operational improvement, and deliver strong financial performance
  • Demonstrated success partnering with physicians and clinical leadership teams
  • Strong strategic, financial, and operational acumen
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to represent the organization externally
  • Track record of building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and engagement

Education

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Compensation

Borland Groover offers a competitive executive compensation package, including base salary, performance bonus, and management incentive plan.
