What is an executive in?

Executive In positions refer to high-level roles within an organization, such as Executive Director, Executive Vice President, or similar titles. These roles typically involve overseeing major departments or functions, making strategic decisions, and leading teams to achieve organizational goals. Executives are responsible for setting the vision, managing resources, and ensuring that the company meets its objectives. Their work often includes collaborating with other leaders, representing the organization externally, and driving innovation and growth.

What are some common challenges faced by executive assistants when supporting multiple executives, and how can these be managed effectively?

Executive Assistants often support more than one executive, which can create challenges such as managing conflicting priorities, coordinating multiple calendars, and handling a high volume of communications. To manage these effectively, strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and the ability to anticipate executives' needs are essential. Many successful Executive Assistants rely on digital tools for scheduling and task management, set clear expectations with each executive, and practice regular check-ins to stay aligned with shifting priorities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an executive assistant, and why are they important?

To excel as an Executive Assistant, you need exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in office administration, typically supported by a relevant degree or experience. Familiarity with scheduling software, Microsoft Office Suite, and communication tools like Zoom or Slack is crucial. Outstanding interpersonal skills, discretion, and adaptability help build trust and manage high-pressure situations effectively. These abilities are vital for ensuring seamless executive support, efficient operations, and maintaining confidentiality in fast-paced business environments.

Client Services Executive
Chicago, IL (Hybrid) - preferred; remote available in WI & MI • Full-Time
ABOUT ALEYSIAN
Aleysian is a B2B technology consulting firm that designs and builds the revenue foundation connecting selling, quoting, billing, and fulfillment into a single structural system. We work at the intersection of quote-to-cash and digital commerce, engaging at the C-suite level to architect around your revenue model - not just implement tools. The result is infrastructure built to hold under the weight of growth, across every channel, at scale.
THE ROLE
The Client Services Executive is the senior leader accountable for the outcome of a portfolio of Aleysian engagements: delivery quality, financial performance, executive client relationships, and the growth those engagements earn. You oversee and align each engagement, hold teams to Aleysian delivery standards, and serve as the escalation point for clients and project team members. Day-to-day execution sits with the project managers who serve as engagement leads, while you focus on the client relationship and the long-term health and growth of the account. You will lead multiple concurrent engagements.
This is a hybrid role, with preference for candidates in the Chicago area who can work from our downtown office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Pursuit & Statement of Work Discipline
  • Review proposals and statements of work for risk, gaps, and delivery feasibility before they are accepted into the Client Services portfolio.
  • Validate that delivery roles are clearly assigned before mobilization.
  • Consult on solution shaping, deal economics, and deal reviews.

Mobilization
  • Own clean handoffs from Sales to Delivery and from Sales to Client Services.
  • Validate scope, assumptions, risks, staffing, and the project plan before kickoff.
  • Own initial executive alignment with the client.
  • Confirm the governance structure, financial baseline, and engagement health monitoring are in place.

Delivery Oversight
  • Set and enforce engagement governance, cadence, and consistent application of Aleysian delivery standards, while engagement leads run the day-to-day cadence.
  • Own budget and financial health at the portfolio level, while engagement leads manage daily burn, time approvals, and budget hygiene.
  • Own quality assurance, delivery rigor, and risk identification standards. Engagement leads surface risk operationally; you own escalation and resolution.
  • Serve as the client's primary executive contact and resolve executive-level escalations.
  • Hold accountability for team performance and dynamics at a systemic level, stepping in on patterns while engagement leads manage the day to day.
  • Drive retrospectives and feed the learnings back into Aleysian delivery standards.

Growth & Expansion
  • Own sustained client satisfaction and referenceability.
  • Surface follow-on opportunities from inside the engagement.
  • Partner with the Client Growth Lead on account mapping, expansion narrative, value proposition, roadmap, expansion statements of work, and pursuit through close.
  • Open new buying centers through executive client relationships.
  • Submit the customer story and client satisfaction results at engagement close.

WHAT GREAT LOOKS LIKE
  • Holds financial discipline, delivery quality, team dynamics, and client trust at the same time.
  • Surfaces risk before it shows up in the margin, the schedule, or the relationship.
  • Earns expansion through delivery quality and never sells around an unhealthy engagement.
  • Builds a bench of engagement leads who can carry execution without the Client Services Executive in every meeting.
  • Treats the Client Growth Lead as a true partner, not a reporting line. Brings them in early and protects their access to the client.

WHAT YOU BRING
Required
  • 8+ years in professional services or systems integration, including 4+ years in senior client-facing leadership.
  • Track record managing a portfolio of multi-million-dollar enterprise technology engagements concurrently.
  • Demonstrated executive presence with C-suite client stakeholders.
  • Fluency in delivery economics: gross margin, forecast accuracy, utilization, and change discipline.
  • Experience operating in matrixed delivery models.
  • History of growing accounts through delivery, with measurable follow-on revenue.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without limitation.

Preferred
  • Experience across the Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce).
  • Experience standing up or scaling a Client Services or engagement management function.
  • Formal account management methodology training, such as Miller Heiman Large Account Management Process or an equivalent.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Base salary $165,000 to $185,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Performance bonus, full medical, dental, and vision coverage, and 401(k) with company match.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • Unlimited paid time off plus paid company holidays.
  • Home internet and mobile phone reimbursement.

HOW TO APPLY
Send your resume and a short note on a client account you've grown to [email protected].
We architect the revenue foundation. Then we build it.
