As our Associate Manager Executive Protection at Banner Health, you will be responsible for planning, overseeing and implementing the Executive Protection department under the Tactical Security Senior Manager and assist in the protection needs of individuals being protected. POSITION SUMMARY
This position's main priority and focus is the safety and security of the CEO and the senior leadership team at Banner Health. The job requires a high level of personal integrity, honesty, confidentiality, good judgement, problem solving, communication, and professionalism. This role involves overseeing the security and safety of high-profile executive(s). This role will lead and coordinate a team of security professionals to mitigate risks, implement effective security strategies, and ensure seamless protection in diverse environments.


CORE FUNCTION

1. Leadership & Coordination: Leads, trains, and manages a team of Executive Protection Specialists. Develops and executes operational security plans tailored to executives' schedules, risk levels, and preferences. In partnership with Executive Director of Security, this role will help serve as the primary point of contact for all EP operations and communications.

2. Risk Management & Assessment: Conducts comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. Develops proactive measures to address identified risks, including travel risk mitigation, advance planning, and venue security analysis. Leverages surveillance strategies to monitor surroundings utilizing two-way radio communications with team.

3. Operational Oversight: Manages all aspects of executive travel security, including logistics, route planning, and emergency response. Supervises the implementation of physical security measures, such as surveillance, access controls, and secure transportation. Ensures proper use and maintenance of security equipment and technology.

4. Crises Management: Leads emergency response efforts during critical incidents, coordinating with law enforcement and other relevant agencies. Develops and implements evacuation and contingency plans for executives and team members.

5. Communication: Maintains clear, confidential communication with executives, family members, and stakeholders. Acts as main point of contact for executive/protectee providing tactful support and communication. Provides regular briefings and debriefings on security matters, including situational updates and threat assessments.

6. Compliance & Reporting: Ensures all Executive Protection Specialists comply with local, national, and international laws and regulations. Maintains accurate records and generates detailed post-operation reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field. Must have firearms permit for concealed carry and carry a firearm.

Must be able to travel extensively both domestically and internationally. Ability to travel internationally as business needs require, including maintaining a valid passport and meeting applicable entry requirements.

Valid passport required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Must possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Executive Protection, law enforcement, military or a related field.

Proven leadership experience in high-stakes, dynamic environments shown by 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in this field. Exceptional risk assessment and problem-solving abilities. Advanced proficiency in defensive tactics, firearms handling, and emergency response techniques. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work discreetly and professionally.

This physical skills assessment will then be conducted on a bi-annual basis and employees must successfully meet the requirements to remain in role.

Employees must possess a Fingerprint Clearance Card within 60 days of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital must sign a Criminal History Affidavit upon hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certification in Executive Protection from a recognized organization (ESI, ASIS) preferred.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
