Acting as a centralized leader, the position bridges corporate objectives with operational execution, enabling consistent standards, operational excellence, and the protection of employees, assets, and the environment.STRUCTUREThe Corporate Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager reports directly to the COO and serves as the central authority for HSE governance across all Wing Group facilities. This role provides leadership and oversight to a team of HSE Managers/Leads across multiple locations, ensuring alignment, consistency, and accountability in the execution of HSE programs and initiatives. The Corporate HSE Manager works cross-functionally with Operations, P & C, Engineering, Compliance, and site leadership teams to integrate HSE standards into daily operations and strategic decision-making. This position operates in a matrix environment, maintaining both direct leadership of assigned HSE personnel and functional influence over site-level HSE activities to ensure enterprise-wide standardization and continuous improvement.The Corporate Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s HSE strategy and Integrated Management System (IMS) across all facilities. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, drives a proactive safety culture, and strengthens risk management and environmental performance. Strategic Leadership & Governance
  • Develop and execute the enterprise-wide HSE strategy aligned with corporate goals and risk tolerance
  • Establish governance frameworks to ensure consistent HSE standards across all facilities
  • Advise executive leadership on HSE risks, trends, and strategic priorities
  • Lead organization-wide HSE transformation initiatives, including cultural and behavioral safety programs
  • Define and track KPIs, including leading and lagging indicators, and provide visibility through performance dashboards
 2. HSE Integrated Management System (IMS) Ownership
  • Own, develop, implement, and continuously improve the HSE IMS aligned with:
    • ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
    • ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)
  • Ensure standardization of HSE policies, procedures, and controls across all facilities
  • Drive integration of systems across business units to eliminate silos and improve efficiency
  • Lead internal and external audits, certification processes, and management reviews
  • Ensure effective document control, compliance tracking, and system performance
 3. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local HSE regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA)
  • Establish and maintain enterprise risk management processes, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies
  • Oversee incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Monitor regulatory changes and proactively update policies and procedures
 4. Operational Oversight Across Facilities
  • Provide functional oversight and guidance to HSE teams across all locations
  • Standardize HSE practices, reporting, and procedures across facilities
  • Conduct site visits, audits, and leadership engagement activities
  • Ensure consistent contractor safety management and operational controls
 5. Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HSE professionals across multiple locations
  • Establish clear accountability structures, performance expectations, and development plans
  • Build leadership capability within the HSE function and across operational teams
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with key departments
 6. Safety Culture & Organizational Engagement
  • Drive a proactive, behavior-based safety culture across all levels of the organization
  • Lead communication strategies to enhance HSE awareness, accountability, and engagement
  • Develop and implement training programs and competency frameworks
  • Partner with leadership to embed HSE principles into daily operations and decision-making
 7. Environmental Stewardship & Sustainability
  • Oversee environmental compliance, permitting, and regulatory reporting
  • Lead sustainability initiatives including waste reduction, emissions control, and energy efficiency
  • Support ESG reporting and alignment with corporate sustainability goals
 8. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Analyze HSE data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Report on performance metrics to executive leadership and key stakeholders
  • Benchmark performance against industry standards and implement best practices
  1. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 7+ years of HSE experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments strongly preferred
  • Proven experience leading multi-site HSE programs and driving cultural change
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Management, or related field

CERTIFICATIONS

  • Certified Internal Auditor (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001) or willingness to obtain
  • OSHA 40-hour certification
  • RCRA training preferred
