You’ll spot opportunity, open doors, and shape staffing strategies that solve real workforce challenges for manufacturers, distributors, logistics providers, skilled trades, office teams, and professional services firms.

A Day in the Role

It’s 9:00 a.m. and you’re walking a client’s facility, learning their operation and uncovering pain points. By noon, you’ve presented a tailored staffing plan built from market intel and best practices. In the afternoon, you log updates in Bullhorn ATS/CRM, follow up on proposals, and prep for tomorrow’s meeting with an executive team seeking a high-volume solution.

What You’ll Do
  • Proactively hunt for new business through cold calls, networking, referrals, LinkedIn outreach, targeted emails, and in-person visits.
  • Develop trusted relationships with HR leaders, Plant and Operations Managers, Safety and Purchasing teams, and executive decision-makers.
  • Schedule and lead client meetings, on-site tours, presentations, and consultative workforce assessments.
  • Diagnose workforce challenges and design customized staffing and workforce solutions.
  • Build proposals, negotiate service agreements, and close new opportunities.
  • Coordinate seamless client onboarding and transition work with recruiting and operations.
  • Be the client’s voice internally—share expectations and market insights to drive results.
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline with consistent prospecting and follow-up.
  • Keep accurate records of activity, opportunities, and accounts in Bullhorn ATS/CRM and other systems.
  • Partner closely with recruiting and operations to ensure excellent service and delivery.
  • Represent our brand at networking events, associations, career fairs, conferences, and community functions.
  • Stay sharp on labor trends, workforce dynamics, and industry best practices.
  • Hit goals for sales activity, revenue, and gross profit.
What You Bring

  • 3+ years in outside B2B sales, business development, or staffing sales (preferred).
  • Background selling into manufacturing, distribution, logistics, industrial, or commercial sectors (strongly preferred).
  • Staffing/recruiting industry experience helpful but not required.
  • Track record of prospecting, building, and closing new business.
  • Polished relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Clear, persuasive verbal and written communication.
  • Confidence presenting to executives and key stakeholders.
  • Strong organization and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter who thrives independently and collaborates well with a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), CRM tools (Bullhorn preferred), Microsoft Teams, LinkedIn, and other business development tech; experience with AI tools like ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within assigned territories.
