Job description

Job Description
The Pharmacy Informatics Pharmacist will lead the informatics and Epic system configuration components of the enterprise smart infusion pump integration project. This role will focus on Epic Willow build, workflow validation, and ensuring the integrity of medication charging and billing processes associated with infusion pump administration.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute Epic Willow build activities required for smart pump integration with CPOE and medication administration workflows.
  • Configure and validate medication records, concentrations, infusion parameters, and interoperability elements required for pump integration.
  • Partner with the Clinical Integration Pharmacist to ensure alignment between the pump drug library and Epic configuration.
  • Perform workflow testing and validation across ordering, verification, dispensing, administration, and pump programming processes.
  • Ensure billing and revenue integrity by validating medication charge capture and infusion documentation workflows.
  • Participate in system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and go-live support. • Identify and resolve technical issues affecting pump integration workflows or documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT, nursing, pharmacy operations, and revenue cycle teams during implementation.

Qualifications
  • PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree
  • Active pharmacist license
  • Epic Willow Inpatient certification
  • Experience with Epic build, system configuration, or pharmacy informatics
  • Strong understanding of medication workflows within Epic CPOE and Willow
  • Knowledge of integration between pumps and Epic
  • Understanding of hospital workflows related to medication administration and IV compounding
  • Regulatory and accreditation standards of infusion devices
  • Drug library build, maintenance, and governance process
  • Data analytics concepts
  • Basic networking and device connectivity
  • Troubleshooting infusion pump and interoperability issues
  • Project management for pump implementations, upgrades, and optimizations
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and clinical audience
  • Perform other assigned duties

Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $120,000.00 - $170,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
