Job description

As a senior designer of executive media in historic Savannah, Ga., you'll work with the executive director of executive media to develop and implement dynamic social media content, presentations, videos, and photography that promote the university president. Your efforts will also elevate the unique events, environments, lifestyle, and opportunities that SCAD offers.
To support SCAD's deep professional focus and industry connections, you'll:
โ€ข Create dynamic, digital-first content to promote the president and special initiatives
โ€ข Research, develop, and design visual assets and multimedia content for digital platforms, executive presentations, public speaking engagements, and institutional communications
โ€ข Collaborate with the executive director to strategically conceptualize, implement, and evolve projects to meet the ever-changing digital landscape
โ€ข Proactively anticipate content needs, test new strategies, and share results with the director
โ€ข Support the visual development and creative implementation of executive media initiatives (i.e., branding systems, social media series, presentation design, publication layouts, and photo/video creative direction)
As part of the executive media team, you'll:
โ€ข Collaborate with internal teams to develop visually cohesive content that supports executive initiatives and university storytelling
โ€ข Ensure the established quality and sophistication expected by SCAD and the president is met on every project
โ€ข Design visually compelling content and branded creative assets to support executive communications, institutional campaigns, public relations initiatives, and multimedia storytelling
โ€ข Maintain awareness of current design trends, emerging platforms, creative technologies, and industry best practices to enable innovative, visually sophisticated content creation
โ€ข Provide on-site creative and production support for executive initiatives
Additionally, you'll:
โ€ข Ensure that all media produced within the department supports SCAD's mission and the goals set by the office of the president
โ€ข Spearhead special projects outside your scope of responsibilities that require immediate attention and focused dedication
โ€ข Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor to carry out the mission of the university
Candidates should ideally demonstrate:

โ€ข Professionalism in appearance, demeanor, and communication at all times
โ€ข An ability to continually research, seek inspiration, and provide recommendations to keep SCAD at the forefront of art and design
Minimum qualifications:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree
โ€ข Experience in digital branding, executive visual communications, social media, art direction, and graphic design
โ€ข Familiarity with illustration and motion media
โ€ข Ability to travel on short notice
Travel required:
โ€ข More than 50%
Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
