In the role of Environmental EIT, we'll count on you to:

  • Assist Senior Engineers in environmental remediation projects that include remediation design and implementation
  • Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
  • Complete projects that have clear, specified objectives and limited variables
  • Perform administrative duties associated with project management for environmental remediation projects
  • Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
  • Assist senior engineers in environmental remediation projects involving feasibility studies, pre-design investigations, remedial design, remedial action and post construction activities.
  • Interpret data and summarize it in tables, charts, and/or maps.
  • Complete duties requiring field work and travel as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed   

Preferred Qualifications

  • 40-hour HAZWOPER training is strongly preferred

  • Master's degree in environmental engineering or closely related Engineering field

  • EIT or the ability to obtain. Candidates hired without their EIT with be titled "Environmental Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT license for career progression

  • 10-hour OSHA training is preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and GIS experience

  • Professional experience with engineering internships is preferred 

  • Local candidates preferred

  • Strong commitment to safety.

  • Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding sampling task in adverse environmental conditions (rugged terrain, remote locations, hot and cold temperatures.)

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related Engineering field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
