Compensation
Annual Salary: $130,000 $180,000 (USD)

DaytoDay Duties
- Develop detailed electrical cost estimates for projects ranging from $1M to $50M.
- Analyze architectural and engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents to define scope, materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor needs.
- Create takeoffs, material lists, and labor hour calculations using estimating software and industry pricing databases.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and senior leadership to shape bid strategies and align with client expectations.
- Identify project risks, forecast potential cost overruns, and recommend mitigation measures.
- Review and negotiate subcontractor proposals, making recommendations for award decisions.
- Stay current with NEC, California Electrical Code, and local permitting processes.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive bid packages, including executive summaries, cost breakdowns, and valueadded recommendations.
- Mentor junior estimators and contribute to the development of internal estimating standards.
MustHave Qualifications (Essential)
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 1015 years of progressive electrical estimating experience with a proven track record of awarded projects.
- Proficiency in industrystandard estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Trimble Accubid, Sage Estimating) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, California Electrical Code, and local permitting requirements.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problemsolving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex technical data clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and work independently.
- Valid California drivers license.
