Job description

We are seeking a highly professional Executive Protection Security Driver / Threat Analyst to support senior executives and visiting principals at our global headquarters in Reston, VA. This dual-role position combines protective driving and close protection support with protective intelligence and threat analysis responsibilities when not engaged in driving or movement operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional judgment, discretion, and situational awareness-equally comfortable operating a vehicle in complex environments as they are producing clear, actionable threat assessments that inform protective operations. As a core member of this team, you will play a valuable part in supporting and executing safe executive travel in the DMV area.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Transport executives and principal visitors to and from company locations, special events, customer sites, and specified locations within local and outlying areas.
  • Ensure timely communication, via company issued devices, with principal and the executive's administrative assistant, and chief of staff on itinerary and schedule changes.
  • Ensure consistent communication with principal regarding best/safest pick-up spot at offsite meeting locations, estimated time of pick-up.
  • Arrive for driving assignments well in advance of scheduled departure time and whenever practical and "advance" the drop-off location in needed instances to familiarize themselves with conditions that could impact the safety or timely arrival of the executive.
  • Prior to all trips, driver duties include route planning, checking radio or online traffic and weather reports for departure and destination locations, reconnaissance and contingency routing.
  • Use appropriate evasive and/or defensive driving tactics as necessary to safeguard passengers and participate in annual evasive and defensive driving tactics training.
  • Maintain constant situational awareness and proactively identify threats or anomalies
  • Coordinate closely with EP Professionals, Corporate Global Resilience and Threat Management Teams, and local security partners
  • Maintains vehicle maintenance, cleanliness and protective equipment.
  • Monitor, collect, and analyze potential threats to executives, facilities, events, and travel
  • Conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) and social media threat monitoring
  • Support behavioral threat assessment efforts related to fixation, grievance, or concerning communications
  • Produce concise intelligence reports, threat summaries, and risk briefings for EP leadership
  • Provide actionable recommendations to adjust protective posture, routes, or schedules
  • Maintain case documentation in accordance with privacy and legal requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High School degree and 5+ years of relevant physical experience.
  • Must possess a current Driver's License with a clean record.
  • Trained in evasive driving techniques.
  • Proven experience as a security or protective driver in urban and high-risk environments.
  • Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with regards to Corporate Executives to include family contact information, residence locations, and residence security systems.
  • Flexible schedule, ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed with little notice.
  • Must present a positive and personable demeanor with an ability to interact and relate well with both external and internal contacts at all levels, up to and including Executives, customers, and members of the Board of Directors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound decision-making and prioritization ability, and attention to detail are critical.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills with an ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • Exceptional discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Ability to balance protective vigilance with executive comfort and business continuity.
  • Basic First Aid knowledge.
  • Demonstrated experience in threat analysis, intelligence analysis, investigations, protective intelligence, or security operations.
  • US citizenship is required and able to obtain and maintain security clearance as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and professional certification for protective driving.
  • Prior Law Enforcement and/or executive protection experience.
  • Current CPR and AED Certification.
  • DoD security clearance.
  • Experience supporting C-suite or board-level executives
  • Training or certifications in: Protective Intelligence, Behavioral Threat Assessment & Management (BTAM), Workplace Violence or Stalking Threat Assessment
  • Familiarity with OSINT tools, case management systems, or threat monitoring platforms
  • Prior GSOC or corporate security intelligence experience
