Primary Responsibilities of the Executive Director:

  • The Executive Director is responsible for the overall planning, direction, coordination, and evaluation of resident care (wellness), sales, dining, activities, housekeeping and facility maintenance departments. 
  • The Executive Director is also responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating the performance of new team members. Must make sure that staffing levels meet state regulations while acting in harmony with company budgets. Leads in accordance with the company's Mission, Vision, Values, Standards, policies and applicable laws/regulations Demonstrates good judgment, strong problem solving and decision-making skills 
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of people, including team members, residents, ownership groups, community groups, and government agencies 
  • Must be available to assist the community in times of emergencies. 
  • Ensures that the community is operating financially in a manner that has been forecasted by the company. 

Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • Must have a caring heart, willing to serve others 
  • Three+ years of experience in a leadership capacity in healthcare industry or senior living industry with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals 
  • Meet the state's minimum requirements of education/experience for Assisted Living Communities 
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, health care, hotel/restaurant management, or a closely related area 
  • Background in financial management, including budget preparation, cash flow management, and analysis of financial reports Proficient in cloud based operating systems, document management portal, internet browsing, email/Outlook and Microsoft applications like Word, PowerPoint and Excel 
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Willing to work weekends and evenings as needed 
  • Safe driving record and valid driver's license
