We are seeking a Director-in-Training for our Auburn, ME area market. This role is ideal for someone with early leadership or program management experience who is passionate about human services and eager to grow into a Director-level role through training, mentorship, and hands-on experience.
About the Director-in-Training Role
This is a developmental leadership position designed to prepare you for a future Director role. This role is best suited for someone who is energized by mission-driven work and genuinely motivated by supporting people with diverse abilities.
What You'll Learn and Do
With support and structured training, you will:
  • Support the leadership and development of a team
  • Work directly in the community building relationships with employers and partners
  • Engage with individuals we serve to support their personal and employment goals
  • Participate in outreach with community agencies and funding sources
  • Learn how to measure outcomes, track progress, and contribute to market goals
  • Gain exposure to budgeting, market growth, and operational decision-making

Required:
  • Experience as a team lead, supervisor, program manager, or similar role

  • Well versed using technology and systems to stay organized

  • Valid driver's license, comfortable using your vehicle to travel within your local community (mileage reimbursement provided) and transporting clients
