About The Women's Fund (TWF) The mission of TWF is to provide women and girls in the Greater Houston area with the tools they need to be advocates for their health. For nearly 40 years, The Women's Fund has been educating girls and women through free classes, workshops, lectures and publications focused on physical, mental, financial, and emotional health and wellness. In addition, TWF's classes emphasize resiliency, helping women and girls learn to cope with and overcome challenges that impact their health and well-being. • 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible nonprofit leadership experience
  • Demonstrated fundraising success, including major gifts, special events and donor stewardship
  • Experience supervising, developing, and managing staff and volunteers
  • Experience managing and adhering to nonprofit budgets and finances
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills
  • Experience working collaboratively with a Board of Directors and key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of nonprofit governance and best practices
  • An understanding of the nonprofit and philanthropic community in Greater Houston

Executive Director responsibilities will include:
  • Fostering a positive, mission-driven and collaborative organizational culture
  • Serve as the organization's chief fundraiser in partnership with the development director and Board of Directors, including cultivating, asking, and stewarding major donors
  • Managing and overseeing the organization's finances and annual operating budget, ensuring accountability and sustainable growth
  • Overseeing annual and long-term fundraising initiatives, donor development and special events
  • Building relationships with healthcare organizations, educational institutions, funders, and community leaders
  • Evaluating program outcomes and ensuring programs align with organizational goals
  • Recruiting, developing, supervising and evaluating staff
  • Serving as the primary spokesperson and represent the organization in the community
  • Supporting effective board governance and organizational compliance
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans in partnership with the Board of Directors

Benefits and Culture:
We are committed to a competitive compensation, based on experience, and offer benefits including:
  • Comprehensive health coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Financial security: Life and disability insurance
  • Paid Time Off: including vacation and sick time
