A growing packaging solutions company is seeking an experienced Packaging Design Engineer to join its team.

We are specifically seeking candidates with experience designing packaging solutions for a packaging manufacturer, packaging distributor, protective packaging company, or related packaging organization.

This is not a general engineering position. Qualified candidates must have hands-on experience designing packaging systems used to protect products during storage, handling, and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Design corrugated, foam, wood, plastic, reusable, and protective packaging solutions

• Create packaging specifications, drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation

• Collaborate with customers, sales, manufacturing, and operations teams

• Evaluate packaging performance and implement improvements to reduce damage and cost

• Conduct testing and validation using ISTA, ASTM, and industry standards

• Support sustainability and packaging optimization initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field

• Minimum 3 years of packaging design experience

• Experience working within the packaging industry

• Proficiency with ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software

• Knowledge of corrugated, foam, wood, plastic, and protective packaging materials

• Strong project management and problem-solving skills
