Job description

Seeking an exceptional executive to serve as Chief Executive Officer, U.S. Operations — taking complete charge of the American business and owning the full P&L, strategy, operations, commercial growth, capital markets readiness, and governance across the Houston and Arizona platforms.

Reporting to the Group CEO in India, this executive will partner closely with the parent's functional leaders to build a U.S. business that is operationally excellent, financially disciplined, commercially aggressive, and ready to stand as an independently listed company on a U.S. exchange

Key Responsibilities
  1. 1. Strategy, P&L & Business Scale-

    Own and deliver the full P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow for a client in U.S. operations across Houston and Arizon

    Define and execute the 3–5 year U.S. strategic roadmap — manufacturing capacity expansion, product mix (modules, cells, BESS), channel mix, and geographic coverag

    Scale the business profitably with a clear path to further capacity additions and vertical integratio

    Drive cost-per-watt leadership, working-capital efficiency, and ROCE in line with parent-company commitment

  2. 2. Operational Excellence & Manufacturing Leaders

    Lead end-to-end U.S. manufacturing — production, quality, engineering, supply chain, procurement, logistics, EHS, and faciliti

    Drive OEE, first-pass yield, throughput, automation, MES/ERP digitalization, and continuous-improvement programs across both sit

    Successfully integrate the Arizona acquisition — culture, systems, processes, leadership, and synergy realizati

    Build a resilient, increasingly localized U.S. supply chain aligned with domestic-content and FEOC requiremen

  3. 3. Pipeline & Client Growth

    Build and steward strategic relationships with top U.S. utilities, IPPs, developers, EPCs, distributors, and C&I custom

    Drive order-book growth, multi-year master supply agreements, and premium pricing linked to domestic-content and quality position

    Expand Client's U.S. brand equity and go-to-market presence across utility-scale, C&I, and distributed / residential segme

  4. 4. U.S. Public Listing Prepar

    Serve as executive sponsor for Client U.S.'s planned listing on a U.S. stock exchange (NYSE / NASDAQ).

    Lead pre-IPO readiness — corporate structuring, PCAOB / Big-4 audit, SOX 404 internal controls, legal framework, and U.S. GAAP repor ting.

    Build the investor narrative, equity story, and long-range plan; lead roadshow in partnership with Group CEO and parent-company CFO.

    Establish a public-company-ready governance framework — independent board, audit/compensation / nominating committees, and investor-relations function.

  5. 5. Policy, Regulatory & Government A

    Lead Client U.S.'s engagement with federal (DOE, DOC, USTR, IRS / Treasury), state, and local agencies.

    Maximize IRA benefits — 45X advanced manufacturing credits, ITC / PTC, domestic-content adders — and manage AD/CVD, UFLPA, and FEOC compliance.

    Build credible relationships with policymakers, SEIA, NAM, community stakeholders, and media.

  6. 6. Organization, Talent &

    Build, develop, and retain a world-class U.S. executive team (COO, CFO, CCO/CRO, CTO/CPO, CHRO, General Counsel, Head of EHS & Sustainability).

    Institutionalize a performance-driven, safety-first, inclusive, and ethical culture aligned with Client's promoter-driven group values.

    Establish compensation, benefits, and equity frameworks consistent with U.S. best practices and listed-company norms; drive succession planning for all critical roles.

Required Skills & Qualif

Bachelor's in Engineering or Sciences (required); MBA from a top-tier U.S. or global institution (strongly preferred)

15–20 years of progressive executive leadership in solar PV, cleantech, advanced manufacturing, or a capital-intensive technology-driven sector; prior CEO / President / COO / Divisional President tenure in a U.S. multi-site operation

Full P&L ownership at scale ($500M+ revenue); direct involvement in a U.S. IPO, de-SPAC, or S-1 / F-1 filing; deep knowledge of U, and domestic-content frameworks

Proven ability to operate within a multinational group structure and partner effectively with a non-U.S. promoter-led parent; cross-border U.S.–India executive fluency
