Introduction  

Our client, a top healthcare organization in NY, renowned for delivering high-quality hospice services, is seeking an accomplished Director of Clinical Operations. This executive leadership role presents a unique opportunity to drive clinical excellence, inspire multidisciplinary teams, and transform patient care across multiple regions. The ideal candidate is a strategic, compassionate leader with a track record of successfully overseeing clinical operations and fostering outstanding patient and family experiences in hospice care.

Key Responsibilities  

- Provide day-to-day leadership and strategic direction to regional clinical management teams responsible for hospice care delivery.  

- Oversee core clinical operations, including patient admissions, discharges, care coordination, staffing, and service provision.  

- Ensure consistent, high-quality, patient-centered care that adheres to clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards.  

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary leaders to implement initiatives that improve patient outcomes and enhance operational performance.  

- Analyze and resolve complex clinical, financial, and operational challenges by partnering with internal stakeholders.  

- Champion quality assurance, performance improvement, and compliance with all applicable regulations.  

- Develop and implement communication and workflow improvement strategies to drive efficiency and collaboration across teams.  

- Support continuous clinical education, professional development, and the integration of best practices throughout the hospice program.  

- Oversee effective workforce planning to ensure optimal 24/7 staffing coverage for hospice operations.  

- Lead talent management activities, including hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, and leadership development initiatives.

Requirements  

- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; master’s degree in nursing or a related healthcare field preferred.  

- Active, current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.  

- Certification as a Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) preferred.  

- Minimum of 3 years of progressive clinical management experience, ideally within hospice or similar healthcare settings.  

- Deep understanding of hospice care operations, regulatory compliance, reimbursement models, and quality standards.  

- Demonstrated success in leading teams, managing organizational change, and driving improvements in clinical operations.  

- Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical problem-solving skills.
