Job description

Stone Tower Winery is seeking an Executive Chef to lead and evolve our growing multi-outlet culinary program. This senior leadership role oversees culinary strategy and execution across a new on-site commissary kitchen, two on-site tasting rooms, private event catering, wine and food pairing experiences, and an off-site tasting lounge opening this summer in downtown Leesburg.

Stone Tower is a family-owned estate winery dedicated to creating memorable wine experiences. Our culinary vision is to craft simple but excellent food that enhances our wines, reflects the season, and feels authentic to the property and Virginia. This is a unique opportunity for a chef who is excited by estate agriculture, wine country hospitality, and building a team dedicated to excellence. Our culinary program has access to a growing kitchen garden program, including a large high tunnel greenhouse, outdoor vegetable beds, apiary, and certified Black Angus cattle farm. A central priority for this hire is building a culture of mentorship, learning, teamwork, and hospitality throughout the culinary department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading culinary execution across tasting rooms, commissary, catering, events and experiences
  • Developing seasonal, wine-focused menus
  • Maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation standards
  • Managing food cost, inventory, ordering, purchasing, and waste reduction
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing the culinary team
  • Strengthening SOPs, recipe books, ordering guides, prep plans, line checks, and production systems
  • Partnering closely with Events, Tasting Room, Operations, and Senior Management
  • Supporting private events, corporate events, wine-paired dinners, and winery-hosted events
  • Maintaining strict safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and facilities standards
  • Fostering a positive culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
