Job description

The Housekeeping Supervisor supports the housekeeping department by assisting the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing daily operations, ensuring guest rooms and assigned areas are cleaned to high standards and ready for check-in. This role helps maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready environment within the hotel.


  • Assist Executive Housekeeper in supervising the housekeeping staff.
  • Assist the Housekeepers and the housemen as needed.
  • Inspect guest rooms after the housekeepers have finished cleaning to ensure cleanliness and readiness for the next check-in.
  • Compile and report accurate room status of guest rooms to the front office.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Practices chemical safety rules and follows procedures for hazardous materials
  • Inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room
  • Respond in a timely manner to guestโ€™s requests.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies. Other competencies not listed may be required for specific positions.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Opera PMS and Microsoft computer experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 
  • Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred.
