About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, execution-focused Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead company-wide operations and drive organizational excellence across a fast-growing business. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the COO will partner closely with the CEO to translate business strategy into operational execution, optimize cross-functional performance, and scale processes that support sustainable growth.

The ideal candidate is an experienced operations executive with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, improving operational efficiency, implementing scalable systems, and driving measurable business outcomes in a remote-first environment.


Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's long-term vision and business objectives.
  • Oversee daily business operations across multiple departments to ensure efficiency, quality, and performance.
  • Establish scalable operational frameworks, policies, and governance to support rapid organizational growth.
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives that improve productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead company-wide strategic planning and execution in partnership with executive leadership.
Business Operations
  • Optimize cross-functional collaboration between Operations, Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, HR, and Finance.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements using data-driven methodologies.
  • Define and monitor key operational KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational functions.
Strategy & Execution
  • Translate executive strategy into actionable operational plans.
  • Lead organizational scaling initiatives, process automation, and digital transformation programs.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and operational investments.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and post-acquisition integration efforts when applicable.
  • Partner with the CEO on organizational planning and executive decision-making.
Financial & Resource Management
  • Collaborate with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning.
  • Optimize resource allocation and operational spending while maintaining service quality.
  • Improve operational efficiency and cost management across departments.
  • Monitor operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Leadership & People Management
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing leadership teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead organizational change management initiatives.
  • Promote employee engagement, leadership development, and operational excellence.
  • Establish performance management frameworks and succession planning strategies.
Technology & Process Optimization
  • Champion operational technology initiatives and enterprise system improvements.
  • Leverage automation, analytics, and AI-driven solutions to improve operational performance.
  • Ensure operational processes remain scalable, secure, and compliant.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to improve internal platforms and workflows.

Required Qualifications
  • 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, business management, or executive leadership.
  • 10+ years leading multi-functional teams in a Director, VP, or COO capacity.
  • Proven experience scaling operations within a technology, SaaS, healthcare, fintech, e-commerce, or high-growth organization.
  • Strong expertise in business operations, strategic planning, and organizational development.
  • Experience leading remote and distributed teams.
  • Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced business degree preferred.

  • Experience leading global or multi-regional operations.
  • Strong background in operational transformation and business process optimization.
  • Experience implementing enterprise technology platforms and workflow automation.
