Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Acupuncturist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing safe, effective, and individualized acupuncture treatments to help our clients manage pain, improve their overall health, and promote relaxation. The Acupuncturist will play a key role in delivering holistic care and fostering a healing environment for clients.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough consultations with clients to assess their health needs and determine appropriate acupuncture treatments.
  • Create personalized treatment plans based on clients' health condition, individual needs, and wellness goals.
  • Advise patients on life changes they can make in addition to acupuncture to help them meet their wellness goals.
  • Administer acupuncture treatments, ensuring the safety and comfort of clients throughout each session.
  • Use traditional acupuncture techniques, including needling, cupping, and moxibustion, as appropriate for each client.
  • Educate clients about acupuncture, its benefits, and wellness practices to support their treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide follow-up care.
  • Follow all state regulations and HIPAA guidelines, and maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation of needles, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sterile environment for all patients.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as massage therapists, physical therapists and chiropractors, to provide integrated care.
  • Stay informed about current research, trends, and new techniques in acupuncture and alternative medicine.
  • Promote acupuncture services to new and existing clients.
  • Promote additional services and products available within the practice, when appropriate.
  • Assist with collecting payments for services rendered and promoting packages for repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • Current, valid state licensure and certification in acupuncture (L.Ac. or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as an Acupuncturist (minimum 5 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of acupuncture points, meridians, and traditional Chinese medicine practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and treatments.
  • Compassionate and client-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to maintain a calm, welcoming, and healing environment.
Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods during treatments.
  • Comfort working with needles and various acupuncture tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry light equipment as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in specialized acupuncture techniques (e.g., electroacupuncture, facial acupuncture, etc.).
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary clinic or wellness center.
  • Knowledge of herbal medicine or other complementary therapies.
