Job description

Sr. Account Manager- Accredo
Join Accredo as a Account Manager, where you will be accountable for the overall operational performance, strategic alignment, and service execution for Accredo's relationship with Centene, a complex, national health plan partner. This role serves as a trusted advisor responsible for translating Centene's enterprise priorities into executable service strategies across Accredo's specialty pharmacy operations.
The Sr AM provides strategic oversight and leadership across all product and operational lines, with a strong focus on service excellence, contract performance, compliance, growth, and financial outcomes. This role partners closely with Account Executives (AEs), Accredo operations, the ESI Account team, product, network, clinical, finance, and implementation teams to ensure Accredo consistently meets or exceeds Centene's expectations across multiple lines of business, including Medicare, Medicaid, Health Insurance Marketplace, and Commercial.
Responsibilities
  • Lead operational strategy and execution for assigned accounts to ensure performance and retention.
  • Develop and execute account strategies supporting growth, persistency, and financial targets.
  • Partner with Account Executives to drive renewals, retention, and expansion.
  • Build trusted client relationships by aligning services to business goals.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver coordinated service solutions.
  • Translate operational performance into clear client insights.
  • Lead performance guarantee reporting including analysis and presentations.
  • Identify and execute upsell and margin growth opportunities.
  • Maintain expertise in benefits, services, and outcomes to support client discussions.
  • Represent Accredo in client meetings and QBRs with professionalism.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare, account management, or managed care experience.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations and service models.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to drive account growth and retention.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues cross-functionally.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred, not required).
  • Experience in specialty pharmacy or PBM environments.
  • Experience managing complex accounts in a matrixed organization.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 96,800 - 161,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
