The Office of Community Educational Engagement (OCEE) is a central resource and bridge connecting the college and community. Established in the 1970s exclusively at CSI, Creative Exchange is a community for lifelong learning serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) within the OCEE. We offer our students community inclusion and learning experiences for personal growth that are unique to college, in and out of the classroom. Our program is responsive to our student community's self-identified needs, regardless of ability, and aligns with best practices in the field of inclusive postsecondary education

This position reports to the Assistant Director of Lifelong Learning. This individual will provide programmatic support and direct student support:


The Coordinator will:

  • Ensure students arrive and leave campus safely every evening of instruction. Coordinate with Public Safety as needed
  • Document and track attendance for data-driven decision-making and funder reporting
  • Serve as a liaison between instructors, students, and administrators (i.e.,assistingas needed,communicating needs, challenges,etc.)
  • Support persistence efforts bymaking phone callsand documenting students who are not attending
  • Assiststudents as needed individually in the classroom
  • Follow up with caregivers if individual 1-on-1 support is needed
  • Support recruitment efforts (i.e.,recruitingat in-person events in the community, catalog distribution, distributing brandedgiveaways to students who refer new students, responding to all student & stakeholder inquires, recruiting in group homes, etc.)
  • Intervene in alignment with the code of conduct with students who are disruptive or violate code of conduct. Draft code of conduct violations in the program template
  • Documentinggrievances and reporting to the supervisorand caregivers
  • Facilitating 2 emergency/fire drills twice annually and executing the Emergency Management Plan as needed
  • Collect and review instructor and paraprofessional timesheets for accuracy and completeness
  • Oversight of Paras
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred. The ideal candidate has a growth mindset, stellar interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as experience working in post-secondary and/or day habilitation programs that serve students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Technical proficiency in administrating zoom, Microsoft Office, and Google is required.


Status: Part-time, 19 hours/week - applicants must be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 6:00 pm-8:30 pm beginning July 2026. Additional availability during office hours a plus.
