Vamonos IT, a dynamic and innovative leader in enterprise technology solutions, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Microsoft Exchange Online Administrator to join our growing team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the administration, optimization, and security of our clients’ cloud-based email environments, contributing directly to improved business communication and productivity across diverse industries.

Responsibilities
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft Exchange Online environments for clients and internal teams.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Manage user accounts, mailboxes, groups, permissions, and policies within Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 ecosystems.
  • Design and implement mail flow rules, transport rules, and security controls to protect against threats such as phishing, spam, and data leakage.
  • Assist with the migration of on-premises Exchange environments to Exchange Online, including planning, execution, and post-migration support.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate Exchange Online with other cloud services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.) and support unified communications initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation on configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for end users, resolving escalated issues related to email delivery, calendar synchronization, mobile integration, and Outlook connectivity.
  • Support compliance initiatives by configuring retention policies, legal holds, auditing, and eDiscovery features.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Exchange Online updates, new features, and best practices, recommending enhancements where appropriate.
  • Participate in security monitoring, incident response, and disaster recovery planning for Exchange Online and related services.
  • Train and mentor junior IT staff on Exchange Online administration and troubleshooting.
  • Support internal Vamonos IT initiatives and operations as needed.
  • Support the Vamonos IT business development initiatives and team.
  • Engage/complete continuing education/certification processes as prescribed by customer and/or Vamonos IT.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Exchange Online and Exchange Server environments.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services, PowerShell scripting, and email security protocols.
  • Experience with migration tools and processes (e.g., hybrid deployments, cutover/staged migrations).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting email delivery issues, mail flow, and authentication mechanisms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a high standard of professionalism under pressure.
