We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Data Reporting, to lead a team within the Transfer Agency. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of data reporting to both internal stakeholders and external clients. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a solid background in financial services and investor servicing operations.

Advanced Excel & Data Modeling
  • Build and maintain advanced Excel data models using Power Pivot and the Excel Data Model.
  • Create DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs for business reporting.
  • Use Power Query to automate data extraction, transformation, and consolidation from multiple sources.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and executive reports in Excel.
  • Improve existing spreadsheets by increasing automation, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Ensure data quality through validation and governance controls.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize complex Excel workbooks.
  • Integrate data from databases, flat files, APIs, and other systems.
Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and business processes.
  • Develop Excel-based tools that improve efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Recommend improvements to reporting processes and data management.
  • Create standardized templates and reporting frameworks for consistent use.
Analytics & Business Intelligence
  • Perform trend, variance, and ad hoc analyses to support business decisions.
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics (KPIs).
  • Turn data into actionable business insights, not just reports.
  • Serve as the team's Excel and reporting subject matter expert.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience of advanced Excel Data Reporting and Data Modeling
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced Power Pivot, Power Query, and data modeling.
  • Experience developing DAX formulas, measures, calculated columns, and optimized Excel models.
  • Strong Power Query skills, including data transformation, combining multiple data sources, and automated refresh processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel functions, including XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS/COUNTIFS, dynamic arrays, and complex formulas.
  • Experience building complex financial or operational models with linked datasets, dashboards, and reporting outputs.

  • Working knowledge of SQL, including joins, aggregations, and query optimization.
  • Experience with VBA/macros or Office Scripts for automation.
