Equine Anesthesia Technician - Full Time
San Antonio Equine Hospital is expanding our surgical services, and we are seeking an experienced equine anesthesia technician to help build and support a high-performing surgical team. If you excel in the fast-paced, detail-oriented environment of the OR and are committed to exceptional patient care, we want to meet you.
The Role
As a key member of our surgery department, you will:
  • Induce, monitor, and recover equine anesthesia safely and confidently
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons and surgical support staff for efficient case flow
  • Assist with diagnostics and treatments within the hospital
  • Maintain equipment, uphold sterile technique, and support patient safety at every step
  • Participate in continuous improvement as we grow and refine our surgery services

What We're Looking For
  • Prior experience in equine anesthesia is required
    (credentialed technicians preferred; highly experienced assistants considered)
  • Calm, focused presence in high-pressure and time-sensitive situations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills - in and out of the OR
  • Strong horsemanship and safe handling of horses of all sizes and temperaments
  • Dependable, organized, and eager to contribute to a developing program
