Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for their exam
Assess patients' current dental hygiene
Take x-rays and other images when necessary
Clean and polish teeth
Administer fluoride
Educate patients proper hygiene techniques
Assist the dentist during the exam
Monitor Supplies
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)

Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Description

Participate in the dental treatment of patients by performing all aspects of hygiene, including examining teeth and educating patients about proper oral hygiene. Takes and develops radiographs and assists Dentist with patient care in accordance with and as prescribed by the State of Wisconsin.

Salary Range

Full-time $42 - $47 per hour

Qualifications:
Ability to maintain composure and professionalism with a team & with patients
Attention to detail
Ability to perform scaling and root planing, take radiographs, and administer local and topical anesthetics (local if licensed)
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g. HIPAA, OSHA -The Occupational Safety and Health Administration)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Diploma in Dental Hygiene
CPR & first aid certificate
Ability to train and coach an assistant for Assisted Hygiene
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
