Job description

EWG Verified® is the Environmental Working Group’s trusted mark for safer beauty, personal care, cleaning products and more. We help consumers make healthier purchasing decisions by setting strict standards for ingredient transparency and safety.

We’re looking for a creative, organized and digitally savvy intern to join our team and help expand the reach of EWG Verified across social media and creator partnerships.

This internship is ideal for someone passionate about wellness, environmental health, digital culture and storytelling who wants hands-on experience working with a mission-driven brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages and mentions across social platforms while helping foster an engaged and informed online community.
  • Social Trend & Cultural Research: Track emerging social media trends, platform updates and conversations in wellness and pop culture, and share insights with the team.
  • Content Development: Brainstorm, create, and publish weekly social media content across a range of topics to engage and grow our audience.
  • Short-Form Video Production: Film and edit short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Partnership Support: Support outreach, collaborations, and giveaways with creators and EWG Verified brand partners.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for social media, wellness and environmental health.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with digital audiences.
  • Creative thinker with a strong understanding of internet culture and emerging trends.
  • Experience managing social accounts, creating content or working with creators.
  • Comfortable filming and editing short-form video content.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Duration: 6 months
Hours: 15–20 per week
Compensation: $20/hour or college credit
