Position Overview

The position provides legal support to Eversource clients in a wide array of matters, including real estate, land use, environmental, siting, and transactional issues. Responsibilities include the acquisition, modification, and disposition of real‑estate rights and the negotiation of agreements related to operations, assets, capital projects, and diverse holdings. The role is located in Manchester, NH and is eligible for a hybrid work policy, allowing up to two days of home‑office work per week when business circumstances permit. Travel may be required for meetings with internal and external stakeholders and for hearings before federal, state, and local regulatory agencies in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and/or New Hampshire.

Position Requirements

Requires knowledge of and experience with real‑estate, land use, and transactional matters; title reviews; negotiation and enforcement of easements, rights‑of‑way, leases, licenses, encroachments, option agreements, and purchase and sale agreements. Candidates with prior utility, energy industry, or siting experience are strongly preferred. Experience with environmental law, litigation, data and cyber‑security issues, and emerging AI technology will be considered a plus but are not required. Successful candidates must be self‑motivated, collaborative, team‑oriented, well‑organized, and able to devise business‑oriented solutions to legal problems. Excellent written and oral communication skills and legal research abilities are essential.

Compensation and Benefits

Eversource offers a competitive total‑rewards program. Salary is commensurate with experience, with the annual range for this position between $176,930.00 and $196,590.00. The position is eligible for a potential incentive.
