Job description

Prefabrication refers to the process of building and assembling a structure at a manufacturing site and transporting it to a remote site where it's then used. Driver will be responsible for picking up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed. Load and unload cargo. Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times. Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Ability to drive long distances
  • Follow all applicable traffic laws
  • Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chains, or covers
  • Transport packages to and from destinations.
  • Arrive at destinations on schedule.
  • Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups.
  • Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays.
  • Use navigation applications to determine the best route.
  • Some overnight travel is required (1-3 nights per week)
  • Willingness and ability to drive Semi, Gooseneck, or Flatbed
Essential skills and experience
