About the Role: Service and Special Events Manager

  • Mandatory service experience in hospitality required.  This is a working service role.
  • Responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of events, while maintaining exceptional overall service.
  • Participates in weekly BEO meetings with catering team to review and coordinate upcoming events.
  • Maintains an adequate roster of servers, bartenders, etc. Schedules and supervises them for events.
  • Ensure catering deliveries are to the customer’s guideline and determined event details.
  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
  • Demonstrates exceptional leadership, communication, and initiative while overseeing event set up, execution and breakdown.
  • Maintains catering supplies, small wares and equipment in proper working order and in a neat, organized manner in designated storage areas. Performs others in duties as directed by supervisor.
  • Understand the proper use of chemicals, follow proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures while maintaining the kitchen and serving area in a clean and organized manner.

What are the requirements?

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, can be substituted for prior service manager experience.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • 3+ years in a similar Food Service/Events lead role required.
  • Serv safe certification is preferred but not required upon hire.
  • Must successfully complete required screening: Level II background check, physical and drug screen.
