Job description

We are seeking a Sr. Program Manager to join our AWS Strategic Accounts organization. In this highly visible role, you will serve as a strategic partner to account leadership across some of our largest account teams, designing and driving the mechanisms, governance, and operational rigor that enable complex, cross-functional teams to deliver measurable customer outcomes.

You will operate at the intersection of strategy and execution - ensuring the right work gets done, at the right time, with the right level of visibility and accountability.
Our Strategic Accounts organization supports the largest, most complex customer relationships in AWS. These accounts are unlike any other, with large teams and multiple cross-functional workstreams, and customer requirements extend beyond standard protocols. Account-based program management exists here because the sheer scale and operational complexity of Strategic Accounts demand dedicated, embedded program leadership to coordinate account-specific initiatives and mechanisms.
If you are excited about enabling high-performing teams at scale, building mechanisms that create leverage for senior leaders, driving operational excellence across multi-stakeholder programs, and leveraging generative AI to transform how organizations operate - we would love to hear from you.
You will be a critical enabler for district and account leadership, providing comprehensive program management support across the full lifecycle of account operations and strategic initiatives

You will maintain a holistic view of your supported accounts and district, driving consistency, standardization, transparency, and continuous improvement across the organization.
You will interface with senior account leadership, ensuring alignment and accountability across complex, multi-stakeholder programs. You will translate leadership priorities into executable program plans, build governance frameworks that create visibility at every level, and design repeatable mechanisms that enable your supported organizations to operate at a higher level than they could without you.
You are encouraged to think big, invent, and take ownership. You will not simply manage programs handed to you - you will identify operational gaps, propose solutions, and build mechanisms that scale

You will champion generative AI adoption within your workflows and across your supported teams, continuously seeking opportunities to automate, accelerate, and improve how the organization operates.
Successful candidates will have a strong program management background, demonstrated ability to operate autonomously at a strategic level, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a track record of driving operational outcomes in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. You will be a peer leader who gains stakeholder buy-in, influences without authority, and creates leverage for the leaders you support.
Key job responsibilities
You will establish a deep understanding of your district/account's operational rhythms, leadership priorities, and team dynamics. Sr

Program Managers are responsible for four core focus areas:
1/ Account-Specific Cadence Management
You will establish, own, and continuously improve account and district-specific business cadences. You will manage reporting cycles, maintain organizational calendars, and ensure cadence mechanisms drive accountability and decision-making rather than status reporting.
2/ Account-Specific Tooling & Mechanisms
You will own the infrastructure that enables account team productivity. This includes designing and managing tracking systems, knowledge bases, internal sites, automation workflows, technology migrations, and permissions management

You will drive adoption of generative AI tools across account teams, pilot high-impact use cases, and scale best practices across the district.
3/ Account-Specific Onboarding & Enablement
You will design and manage programs that accelerate team member productivity. Strategic Accounts carry unique onboarding requirements beyond standard protocols. You will own end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes and coordinate ongoing enablement programs with technical and sales readiness teams

4/ Strategic Programs & Initiatives
You will build and manage high-impact programs aligned to account team goals, and large-scale event planning. You will apply disciplined program governance - clear charters, defined success criteria, stage-gate reviews, and escalation paths - to ensure every program is tied to measurable business outcomes.
