Agenus is seeking a high-impact Global Events & Program Operations Manager (level) to support and scale our expanding global engagement strategy. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Global Events & Special Projects, this role will operate as a key execution lead and operational owner, driving complex, high-visibility programs across international markets.
This individual will be expected to independently manage end-to-end execution of global initiatives, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and bring structure to a rapidly evolving environment as our programs continue to expand.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, high-growth biotech settings, demonstrates strong operational judgment, and has a track record of delivering measurable impact across complex, global programs.
This role is required to be onsite in Lexington 5 days a week.
In this role, you will:
Global Events & Engagement Ownership
  • Lead end-to-end execution of global Medical Affairs engagement activities (advisory boards, expert meetings, scientific exchange programs)
  • Serve as a primary operational partner to Medical Affairs, ensuring seamless execution across multiple concurrent global initiatives
  • Drive planning and execution of complex physician engagement strategies, including high-touch KOL interactions and multi-region programs
  • Establish and maintain tracking frameworks to monitor engagement activity, outputs, and program effectiveness
  • Ensure all activities are executed in alignment with compliance, documentation, and internal standards

Program & Operational Leadership
  • Own operational delivery across a portfolio of programs, managing timelines, dependencies, and cross-functional coordination
  • Proactively identify risks, gaps, and inefficiencies, and implement scalable solutions
  • Partner across Medical Affairs, Clinical, Finance, and Legal to drive alignment and execution
  • Bring structure to ambiguous or evolving processes as global programs scale
  • Contribute to building and optimizing repeatable processes, tools, and workflows

Vendor & Budget Management
  • Manage external vendors end-to-end, including selection, onboarding, performance oversight, and issue resolution
  • Track and manage program budgets, ensuring alignment with forecasts and cost controls
  • Lead contract coordination and PO processes with a focus on timeliness and accuracy
  • Drive accountability with vendors to ensure high-quality delivery across all engagements

Global Travel & Congress Execution
  • Own end-to-end logistics planning and execution for global meetings and major scientific congresses, including direct booking and management of travel, transportation, hotels, and on-site logistics (not fully outsourced to vendors)
  • Personally coordinate complex international travel arrangements for internal teams and external experts, including flights, ground transportation, hotel blocks, and detailed itineraries
  • Lead execution of event logistics including catering, audio/visual coordination, venue management, and on-site operations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all logistics-related activities, ensuring a high-touch, seamless experience for attendeesroubleshoot real-time issues on-site and proactively manage last-minute changes in fast-paced environments

Qualifications: About you
  • 6-8+ years of experience in global events, program operations, or project management within biotech, pharma, or healthcare
  • Demonstrated experience owning and delivering complex, multi-stakeholder programs end-to-end
  • Experience personally executing event logistics (travel, catering, transportation, on-site coordination)
  • Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, high-growth environments with shifting priorities
  • Strong vendor management experience, including budget oversight and contract coordination
  • Track record of driving measurable outcomes (e.g., scale of events, number of engagements, budget ownership, process improvements)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability
  • Excellent written communication and professional follow-up skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling tools
  • Comfortable working onsite and supporting global teams across time zones

Travel Expectations
  • Participation in major scientific meetings throughout the year Additional travel for smaller meetings and internal events Travel may extend up to one week at a time

The targeted salary range for this position is $95,000 - $129,000 per year. Agenus is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offered is commensurate with Agenus compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, critical needs of the role, and internal equity.
