About the Team:

Be part of the team responsible for producing first class live events and experiences for Dow Jones, The Wall Street Journal and Barronโ€™s Group. The Dow Jones events team produces well over 250 events a year (globally) of all shapes, sizes and formats, bringing our brands to life for our members, our clients and our colleagues. At the heart of it all, is live journalism, connecting our audiences with newsmakers and big ideas, via ambitious experiences.

About the Role:

As one of our B2B Event Producers, you will be responsible for developing, planning and delivering industry-leading conferences, executive forums, customer events and experiences that support Dow Jones' growing B2B portfolio. You will take ownership of each event from concept through execution, partnering closely with product marketing, sales, sponsorship, programming and editorial teams to create experiences that strengthen client relationships, showcase our products and support broader commercial objectives.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with programming, marketing, sales and sponsorship activation teams to build relationships and deliver successful events for an array of products within the Dow Jones ecosystem.

This role is based in-person in New York, reporting to the VP, Events.

You Will:
  • Develop and deliver events that support Dow Jones' B2B growth strategy across Risk & Compliance, Factiva, Newswires, OPIS, Chemical Market Analytics and other enterprise businesses.

  • Partner closely with Product Marketing, Sales and Business stakeholders to ensure event objectives align with commercial priorities and customer engagement strategies.

  • Coordinate event content with programming, marketing and subject matter experts to ensure sessions support key business themes, product positioning and client needs.

  • Work with Sales teams before, during and after events to maximise attendee engagement and support lead generation and pipeline development.

  • Produce post-event reporting, including attendee feedback, operational learnings and performance insights to continuously improve future events.

  • Manage exhibitor logistics, sponsorship activations, promotional materials and customer experience where applicable.

  • Oversee the development of event design, experience and brand presence onsite,

  • Manage, from start to finish, the ideation, planning, and delivery of each event,

  • Manage event production โ€“ working with the newsroom and programming teams to understand technical requirements for the โ€˜showโ€™,

  • Develop detailed event schedules for the venue and other suppliers, ensuring they are clear on the format, set up and other requirements etc.,

  • Create and maintain project budgets, plans, schedules and contractual obligations,

  • Mentor and guide team members,

  • Build industry and business knowledge.

You Have:
  • Experience producing B2B conferences, executive forums or customer events.

  • Strong understanding of how live events support customer acquisition, client engagement and business growth.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Product Marketing, Sales, Editorial and Product teams within a matrixed organisation.

  • Comfortable balancing creative event production with commercial objectives and measurable business outcomes.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using event performance data to improve future programmes.

  • In-depth knowledge of all event planning phases

  • Highly creative with a strong eye for event design and a love of detail,

  • Sound business acumen, with the ability to work closely with multiple internal and external partners and stakeholders to produce and manage each event,

  • Outstanding project management and negotiation skills,

  • Strategic thinker who enjoys working in a collaborative, solutions driven environment,

  • Passion for the brand, the business and the industry.

  • 5+ years of event industry experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; MBA a plus, or equivalent experience

  • Ability to be flexible, travel within the US, and adapt to conflicting time zones as needed

  • Experience managing heavy and contrasting event schedules

  • Strong copywriting skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Knowledge of event design and marketing processes.
