Our community is looking for a Plant Operations Director to join our team! If you are passionate about helping others and are looking for a new opportunity, we would love to chat with you!

Responsibilities

  • Implements systems and controls to achieve financial performance as established by the department budget. This includes developing budgets and capital spending plans on an annual basis. Per calendar year we average 5-6 million for our capital budgeting. 
  • Develop financial forecasts and actively participate in monthly profit/loss review meetings. 
  • Develop and implement plans for the plant operations team and vendors to maintain property, equipment, grounds and other assets in an acceptable state of repair.
  • Ensure that apartment maintenance requests are handled in a prompt and courteous manner through the TELS system.
  • Develop plans that provides and maintains a quality facility with respect to the interior and exterior of the buildings, roads, grounds, tools and equipment to achieve a safe, sanitary and healthy living/working environment for residents and staff.
  • Assures that all services and programs are in compliance with federal, state, and/or local laws and statutes.
  • Plans and initiates staff training in emergency preparedness. life safety, personal protective equipment, OSHA mandated training, and other required training. Monitors infection control guidelines within the department. 
  • Develops established emergency policies and procedures for the team to follow.
  • Reviews and analyzes quality control, maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of non-conformity with product specifications and operating or production problems.
  • Experience in apartments and condo renovations for Upscale Senior Living and ability to manage timelines with outside contractors. 

Skills

  • At least five years' experience in plant engineering and/or trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, refrigeration, ground maintenance, masonry or maintenance. Three years supervisory experience.
  • Previous experience in the health care field and/or with an elderly population preferred. Knowledge in fire safety and MSDS training also preferred.
  • Must have outstanding customer service skills with a senior population with a focus on meeting and exceeding expectations.
